Léon (Grizzly) LeBlanc of Belliveau Village, Memramcook, passed away Friday, May 21, 2010 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital at the age of 64 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Léon LeBlancBorn on March 12, 1946 in Belliveau Village, he was the son of the late Emery LeBlanc and the late Emélia Richard. Léon was an auto body repairman and, for many years, he was a volunteer with the Pré-d'en-Haut Fire Department and the Ambulance Services. He had a love of nature, especially enjoying his flowers and gardening. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing with his many friends.

He is survived by his special friend, Télorise Gaudet of Dieppe; one son, Alan LeBlanc (Rachel) of Belliveau Village; one daughter, Yvette LeBlanc (Patrick Durette) of Moncton; his two grandchildren, twins Harley and Danika of Plamondon, Alberta; four sisters: Norma Dupuis (Cléophas), Stella LeBlanc (late Guy), Dorine Landry (Paul) all of Memramcook and Jeannette LeBlanc (Francis) of Moncton; one brother, André LeBlanc (Sylvia) of Belliveau Village and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his former wife Marguerite (Peggy) LeBlanc. He was predeceased by his stepfather, Denis Boudreau.

Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook and the Funeral mass will be held at Notre-Dame-de-l'Annonciation Church in Pré-d'en-Haut on Tuesday, May 25 at 7:30 pm. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
